At Opticks Studios, we value your privacy. EmergiMap is designed so that your data stays on your device and in your own private iCloud account. We do not collect your data, maintain user accounts, display ads, or share your information with anyone.

Information the App Stores

The app stores the information you (or a family member helping you) enter during setup:

• Saved locations — a display name, address, map coordinates, and chosen icon

• Your preferred navigation app (Apple Maps or Google Maps)

This data is stored on your device and, if your device is signed into iCloud, automatically backed up to your private iCloud account so your locations survive a lost or replaced phone. The backup is encrypted by Apple and is not accessible to Opticks Studios.

When Information Leaves Your Device

EmergiMap sends nothing to Opticks Studios. Limited information leaves your device only for the following features:

Location Search — During setup, the text you type in the location search field is sent to Apple's Maps service to find matching places and addresses.

Navigation — When you tap a saved location, its name and coordinates are handed to the navigation app you have chosen (Apple Maps, or Google Maps if installed). From that point, navigation — including any use of your live location — is handled by that app under its own privacy policy. EmergiMap itself never requests or accesses your device's location.

iCloud Backup — Your saved data is backed up to your own iCloud account, as described above.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with anyone. We never receive it in the first place.

Your Control

You can edit or delete your saved locations at any time within the app. Deleting the app removes all data stored on your device. To remove the iCloud backup as well, delete all saved locations inside the app before uninstalling.
